Part 1. February Entry

Book Title: Jemima J. by Jane Green

I realized that when you found out something fascinatingly new and entertaining, you'll eventually find it addictive and you'll just drown into it later on. Exercising is one of those "something". During my elementary and high school days, I was fond of playing with my friends and cousins, I was fond of swimming and doing outdoor games but it never came to me to have an exercise routine or it never came into me to be an athlete. I just told myself that I'm going to be a famous volleyball player or swimmer someday but it never came to me to push the thought into actions. So I was really horizontally challenged on those days. Although when I first tried using the internet, I got really addicted to it but it never was a hindrance in changing my eating habits, so even if I used the internet until dawn, I never forget to eat "between meals" but not until I entered college. There was a free Taekwondo training in our university's gym so as an enthusiast, I joined the club. The training was really breath-taking. I was scared and hesitant at first, it was really energy-draining, training after class hours and going home late, the first few weeks were really hell, we even had calluses on our soles. But after 6-7 months, I find Taekwondo really fascinating and entertaining plus the fact that I already met friends and got some bonds between them. There were times when our trainers were absent so we did not have any practice, my body felt tingly inside as if it want to move and it craves for sweat and muscle pain. I realized that I got addicted to it. And that was the time I realized that I've loosed weight. People around me kept telling me I've loosed some weight. They said that the first few weeks, people around you would first notice the changes and you'll be the last one to notice it. I believed that though. I never really believed them at first. But when it comes to love, I still don't know how it feels to be liked by someone you liked.

This book can give a whole bunch of hope to every overweight girls out there to reduce and to have a better looking body only if they are just determined enough to achieve so. Not just achieving a healthy and good looking face and body but also hope to gain friends despite being horizontally challenged and lastly is that LOVE comes in all shapes and sizes. Love does not look at your size nor weight but what lies inside you. That everyone can be perfect just the "weigh" they are. And also, it tells us that too much can also kill you. In everything you do, you have to maintain the balance and harmony. An astounding beauty can also be seen by a pure hearted person.

I wonder what would be Jemima's mom reaction would be if she personally sees her daughter? Where is her dad? I've never heard of her dad in the story. I wonder what happened to her flatmates after they found out that Jemima and Ben finally turned into real couples? I bet they would be jealous to death. And I wonder if Gralding will really be happy with Nick? Will she settle with Nick once and for all? Did Diana just let Nick find another girl even though she was already damped by Ben?

I think, common predictions would be like; Jemima will finally visit her Mom and her Mom would really be happy and would show her daughter to the whole world, to her friends.Ben will propose to Jemima and they will have wonderful and good-looking off springs. Jemima would try to find another work or maybe she would turn out to be a superstar or like a model and they would live in Los Angeles California, living their dreams. For Brad, I think he would make up with her chubby secretary and they would get married. But I really hope that her secretary would just lose wait but what can I do if Brad craves for a fat woman? And they would also live a happily ever after.

A new book cover for Died in Plain Sight

Part 1. January Entry

Book Title: Died in Plain Sight by Elizabeth Lowell

Truth to be told, my thoughts were fed up with the reality that life itself, happy it may seem for others sometimes, can also be dreadful and a full-load bucket of lies, blood and devastating secrets that can kill life itself. I realized that there are certain people who exists in this world. There are really those kinds of people who treat themselves wickedly and even spread this wickedness to other people that has severe bad effects to their loved ones. There are also people who are naturally cold-hear ted. How could a parent disregard their child because they can't cope or be as good as their parents and can't meet their expectations? Why should they force their child to follow their path if their child themselves are creating their own path and building their own pavements in their own freewill. What they need is their parent's full support in reaching their dreams and in pursuit of their happiness. There are also people who are unjust. There's no thing as "just" in this world. The enlightened might have been long lived, but some turned out wicked, in its simplest sense, the bad ones and eating the good ones. I don;t know how, but I certain it is. People become more materialistic, even paintings can decide ones life or death.

While reading some part in this book, a story from my father flash backed into my thoughts. And I just thought that this story is somewhat related to Lacey Quinn and her father's past.
My father once told me about his sad youth days.He once told me that when he was in high school, he wanted to join the prom but he wan't able to because his parents hesitated to let him to. He said his ambition and dream was to become a pilot but his parents didn't allowed him and insisted on becoming an accountant instead. They always decided on their own since no one will stop them and as they always thought, that "A parent knows what's best for their child" without even considering their child's desires in his life. He said that he really wanted to study in Mindanao State University when he was about to go enter college but his parents didn't allowed him so he studied in Notre Dame of Dadiangas University instead. His parents always thought what's best for him but it turned out that it wasn't, maybe for them it is but for him it wasn't. He had a very hard time coping with his colleagues in college. He once told me that when he was in high school, he wanted to join the prom but he wan't able to because his parents hesitated to let him to..

Honestly, I finished reading the book but there are really certain parts that I don't quite get the thought yet. There are still questions forming in the hind back part inside my head. I wonder how Grandpa Rainbow painted those bloody murders without anybody seeing him. Did he painted it during the actual murder? Was he always there? If that's the case, that would be really creepy. I also wondered if Lacey died in Savoy Ranch during that rainy afternoon when she and Ian was shoot by Ward Savoy, would Lewis Marten a.k.a David Quinn or Grandpa Rainbow painted her dead too? I don't know what Lacey's parents reaction after knowing that Grandpa Rainbow was actually alive or maybe they're one of the people who knows that he was still alive and didn't even let Lacey know. Are they criminals or do they have some connection with the Savoys or Forrests?

Although Ward already died, the case was still partially solved. I still think that there's still bad going to happen since Lewis Marten was actually alive and there were still Savoys alive and most importantly the Savoy ranch there still lies. I thought that maybe there is going to be another Savoy entering the scene and Lacey Quinn's life will be at stake for still keeping the painting of her Grandfather since she haven't sold them to Rarities Unlimited. And maybe if Lacey Quinn will finally meet Death's scythe, Lewis Marten will paint her all-time favorite grandchild's death, stroking every detail of blood coming out of her body.

Part1. December Entry

Book title: If Only It Were True by: Marc Levy

Arthur really fell hard for Lauren. He was head over heels for her. No matter what consequences he might encounter and even though the stakes were high, they might get caught and accused for kidnapping, he might go behind bars but none of those mattered for him, all what mattered was for him to get Lauren out of the hospital and to take her to Arthur's old house where her late mother has lived. I also liked how Paul, Arthur's best friend, helped his crazy act (which they sneaked Lauren out of the Hospital) and still helping his best friend even though he really thought that Arthur was insane and just neet some time off. And added the fact that Paul cannot see, hear nor feel Lauren, he really think that it was a joke, that Arthur was just hallucinating. I also loved the mothers of both parties, Arthur's and Lauren's. You can really feel the genuine love of a mother towards their child. No matter how old you are as long as you still have your mother, they still look and treat you as their baby, their child. Arthur's past brought me to tears when he read his Mom's letters to him. They were really sentimental and full of love. You just can't explain how you feel towards those things.

I can really feel how they both felt towards their mothers. I really love my mother. I'm much closer to her than to my father, honestly. She's like my sister. And what really hit me is that even though I'm not as intelligent as my older brother, she still exerts too much effort for me. I mean, why would you exert effort to not so important things? But that's really what mothers do, right? That they would look fairly at their children and do their best to raise them.

I wonder why Paul still helped Arthur despite being doubtful of the whole story.

i think that after Arthur told Lauren on what happened to them when she was asleep, she would tell Arthur that she doesn't believe him plus the fact that she doesn't know him and would tell Arthur that she's heard enough and would like to take a rest. Then she would tell Arthur that maybe he'd just gone insane and leave her alone. Then Arthur would try attempts to convince her but Lauren still wouldn't believe him. Arhur gets drunk and drives his way to his mother but unfortunately meets and accident. Then he would be in come and.. Lauren will find Arthur's body inside her apartment.

Part 2.December Entry

Book title: If Only It Were True by: Marc Levy

I feel pity for both Lauren and Arthur in the story. They are sustaining Lauren's body in pursuit of their love and happiness but life isn't always how you want it to be. You just need to let go but in Arthur's case, there's no letting go. He find ways to avoid the doctors to cut Lauren's physical care. He made a crazy thing just to save Lauren because he know and he believed that Lauren will wake up from her coma and they will live happily in each other's TLC. I realized that even adults, make silly and crazy decisions. One quote i liked from a character goes like this "Being a friend is all about being willing to act crazy as the other guy, right?" Arthur's best friend said that. And it really came to a point that they made a crazy deed together. Paul didn't believe that Lauren existed and thought that Arthur was goig insane but still, as Arthur's best friend, he helped him all throughout the whole "kidnapping" process. Even though they were almost imprisoned because of what they did. It's always your best friend who you can do crazy things with, no matter what consequences it may reward you.

My favorite part in the novel I've read entitled If Only It Were True is the falling action and the ending. It was when Lauren, a comatose doctor, miraculously woke up from her coma and finally meets Arthur physically but unfortunately was unable to recognize him at all. In the early part of the story, Lauren was on her way to happiness, driving her way to the beach but unfortunately her steering wheel lost control and met an accident which her head was greatly affected and after that, she was in coma. Although I have already predicted while reading the earlier chapters of the novel that Lauren's body will surely wake up from it's coma and will meet Arthur physically, plus the idea that it is a fictitious novel.

If Only It Were True is about a dilemma Arthur faces when he discovers Lauren in his San Francisco apartment (which happens to be Lauren's apartment before she was in her coma). He is the only person who can see her, hear her, talk to her; no ine else even senses her presence. So when doctors prepare to end Lauren's physical care -- and destroy the magical bond between she and Arthur share -- he must find a way to save her. For it is only her love that can save him in return.

Common prediction would be a happy ever after for both of them, since Arthur finally met Lauren personally although Lauren's memories when she was a ghost didn't synchronized to her mind and body when she woke up. So basically, it's back to start and getting-to-know-each-other phase. The first thing that that came into my mind is that Arthur would try to narrate everything that had happened between them when she was in her coma, telling her that he's the only one who can see and talk to her ghost and even feel her ghost, and telling her that he even dated and fell in love with her ghost. But Lauren couldn't take everything Arthur has said and couldn't believe it and would just ask Arthur to leave and let her recover first. And then Arthur would be depressed and will have an anxiety. He will get drunk and drive himself home late, but then he meets an accident and will be comatose and the story becomes upside down. Lauren will also meet Arthur's soul and would fall in love with him again.
